FARI · Public field archive Feline Autonomy Research Institute
Issue 14 · Vol. 5 Established 2021 Updated 12 March 2026 Editor: M. Voronova
For journalists and researchers

A short page because the archive prefers to speak through entries.

FARI keeps press material brief. Most of what we have to say is on the method page and in the log. This page is here so that interview and citation requests reach the desk in a useful state.

Statements
  • Public archive expansion

FARI added Russian-language pages and a larger public index in 2024 so that bilingual households can compare observations without sending us private files. The Russian pages are now drafted independently rather than as translations.

  • Method update

In 2025 the review desk separated “device adjacency” from “routine association” to reduce over-classification of ordinary resting behavior. About fifteen older entries were retagged with a visible correction line.

  • Position on hidden recording

The archive does not accept reports that depend on hidden recording of household members, guests, or animals in distress. Submissions that arrive with that material are returned without review.

How to reach us

For interviews

Use the intake desk. Include your deadline, outlet, working topic, and whether Russian-language comment is needed. We answer most interview emails within a week.

For researchers

Request the public classification guide before asking for raw materials. The archive does not distribute private submissions, but we are happy to help with definitions and prior published entries.

For corrections

Send the report ID, the change you would like, and any context. Corrections appear on the entry itself, with a dated note.

Citation note. If you cite FARI in a longer piece, please link to the specific entry rather than to the homepage. Entries are stable; the homepage is a rolling summary.
